Kathy

Kathy was born and raised in Homer Glen, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. A midwesterner through and through she spent her childhood playing multiple sports, riding bikes around the neighborhood and on the lake.
She attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to study Graphic Design & Art History. During her time in college, a trip to New Zealand inspired her to travel. Kathy discovered her love for the American west and our beautiful national parks on a 76 day 4500 mile bike ride across the country.

After University, she moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to further pursue her outdoor interests where she still resides when she is not guiding or traveling. Kathy has guided trips and personally traveled to hundreds of destinations in over 38 states, 15 countries and on 4 continents. When she isn’t guiding you can find her chasing powder on a snowboard, moving in the mountains, feeling the rhythm of rivers, enjoying good conversations in the backcountry and losing cell phone reception.
